Two engines, one studio

April 3, 2026·Nimra Fatima ·studio, craft

When people hear “venture studio,” they usually picture one of two things: a pack of engineers, or a pack of designers. We’re both, on purpose, and it’s the most important decision we’ve made.

The handoff is where things die

In the usual model, Creative makes the brand and throws it over a wall. Engineering catches it, reinterprets it, and ships something close enough. Every handoff loses a little soul and a little speed.

We deleted the wall.

What “two engines” actually means

Same roadmap. Same standup. Same bet. When Fooofi needed a Gen-Z personality and a recall engine in the same sprint, nobody had to translate between two companies — because there was only one.

Why it compounds

Our own ventures teach Creative how products really grow, and teach Tech what taste does to conversion. Then that learning flows into partner work. One studio, two engines, one feedback loop.

That’s not a tagline. It’s why the work ships — and why it ships whole.
