The role
We’re hiring a ghostwriter to become the voice behind our founding team’s social presence on LinkedIn and X. This isn’t a “schedule three posts a week” content gig. It’s a role for someone who can think like a founder, write like a human, and understand the difference between content that earns attention and content that gets scrolled past. You’ll study how our founding team thinks, talks, and sees the world, then turn that into posts that feel unmistakably theirs — strategic, insightful, and purposeful. The goal isn’t reach for its own sake; it’s building a credible voice that people in the startup world actually want to hear from. You’re doing this well when posts spark meaningful engagement rather than vanity metrics, the founding team is increasingly recognised as a credible voice in their space, and our products show up naturally as the obvious answer to problems the team is already discussing.
What you’ll own
- Write in an authentic voice — strategic, insightful, purposeful content that sounds like a human, not a brand account or a LinkedIn motivational poster.
- Produce content that resonates: vulnerability paired with insight, contrarian takes backed by real experience, and narrative-driven posts that demonstrate thinking rather than perform it. No generic algorithm-bait, and never dress up self-promotion as wisdom.
- Work each platform on its own terms — adapt voice and format for LinkedIn (engagement, professional narrative) and X (speed, authenticity, replies-as-currency) rather than cross-posting the same thing everywhere.
- Spot emerging conversations in startup discourse early and help the founder enter them before they saturate.
- Direct visual content strategy — know when a post needs a graphic, carousel, or short video, what drives engagement on each platform, and brief our design and video teams accordingly.
What we’re looking for
- Deep familiarity with high-performing founder content on LinkedIn and X. You study voices like Sahil Lavingia (Gumroad), Dylan Field (Figma), Austin Rief (Morning Brew), and Sam Parr (The Hustle) — plus emerging founders — and can articulate why their content works.
- A real understanding of platform mechanics: how LinkedIn favours engagement and professional storytelling, and how X rewards immediacy, authenticity, and replies.
- Trend literacy — you can identify and ride an emerging conversation before it saturates.
- The ability to make positioning feel earned. You can fold product narratives into organic posts that feel honest, not forced.
- Translation over transcription — you can turn internal knowledge into external narratives that land with founders, operators, and industry observers.
Bonus points
- Prior experience ghostwriting founder or executive content, with samples to show for it.
- Strong visual content instincts — you know which graphics, videos, or carousels earn engagement on each platform and can brief them clearly.
- Comfort working in direct, regular communication with a founder to absorb voice, values, and strategic direction.
The deal
- Very competitive pay, with frequent performance bonuses.
- Hands-on experience running real brand pages and campaigns.
- Mentorship from an experienced creative and content team.
- A growing portfolio of published content and measurable results.
- Certificate of completion and a strong reference for top performers.
- Potential for a full-time offer based on performance.
- A fast-paced, creative studio environment with real ownership.
- In-person at our Islamabad office — though for the right candidate we can offer a more hybrid (not remote) arrangement.
